Terms of Use
This site is a free browser utility. These terms describe what you can expect from it, what it does not promise, and the few things we ask you not to do.
Last updated 15 August 2026. Using this site means these terms apply to your use of it. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Using the site
Every tool here is free to use, with no account and no payment. You may use the tests for personal, educational or professional purposes, including checking a keyboard you are buying, selling, repairing or supporting, and you may share links to any page freely.
The site is provided as it is at the time you visit. Tools may be added, changed or removed, results formats may change, and the site may be unavailable at any time without notice.
What the results are — and are not
Results on this site are informational. They describe timing and key events as observed by JavaScript inside your browser, on the machine and in the browser you used at that moment.
- A result is not a hardware certification. Nothing here measures or certifies switch actuation, firmware behaviour, USB or Bluetooth transmission, or any published specification of a keyboard.
- A result is not a diagnosis. Diagnostic tools report patterns in browser events, such as duplicate events arriving unusually close together. Only physical inspection or the manufacturer can establish what a device is actually doing.
- A result is not repeatable across systems. Background load, browser version, power settings, remote desktop software and display refresh rate all move the numbers, which is why the same keyboard can score differently on two machines.
The methodology page sets out exactly what each measurement covers and where it stops. Read it before relying on a number for anything that matters.
Decisions you make from results
You are responsible for what you do with a result. That includes buying, returning or keeping hardware, opening or refusing a warranty claim, opening a device, changing system settings, or advising someone else. We are not liable for any loss, cost or damage arising from those decisions, or from any error, interruption or inaccuracy in the site.
No warranty
The site and its content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. Browser timing APIs are deliberately coarsened for security reasons and behave differently between engines and versions, so no guarantee of measurement precision is offered or implied.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, and nothing here affects consumer rights you have by law.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its host;
- republish the pages wholesale as your own work, or present the tools as a service you built;
- present results generated here as an independent laboratory measurement, a certification, or a measurement of hardware latency;
- use automated or synthetic key events to produce a result and then present it as a real measurement — the tests exclude untrusted events for exactly this reason.
Quoting a short passage or a result screenshot with a link back to the page it came from is welcome and needs no permission.
Content and intellectual property
The written explanations, page designs and the code behind the tools belong to the site operator, except where third-party names are used descriptively. Brand and product names mentioned in the guides belong to their respective owners and are used only to explain concepts; no affiliation or endorsement is implied in either direction.
Privacy
These terms sit alongside the privacy page, which describes what is stored on your device, what the web host can see, and the fact that keystrokes are never transmitted. If the two documents ever disagree about data handling, the privacy page is the accurate one.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the site changes. The date above shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use the site after a revision means the revised terms apply. Material changes to how data is handled are announced on the privacy page first.
